Job summary

DOF is seeking experienced Marine Deck Officers for offshore roles in Australian waters. You will contribute to safe navigation, DP-operations, and high-standard offshore performance on world-class vessels.

Ideal candidates have DP Unlimited, Watchkeeper Deck, and offshore oil and gas exposure, with strong leadership and communication skills, plus Australian work rights. The role is based offshore with opportunities to travel internationally.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Watchkeeper Deck certificate of competency or above and a DP Unlimited certificate.
  • Experience offshore in the oil and gas industry on DP vessels (PSV, DSV, AHTS, MSP, Construction Support).
  • Valid AMSA and/or Norwegian Medical, with minimum 6 months validity.
  • BOSIET-CAEBS certification preferred.
  • Current MISC or ability to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated offshore leadership and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe navigation and operation on DP vessels.
  • Maintain compliance with offshore safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate leadership and contribute to high standards of teamwork and service.

Requirements
  • Hold a current Watchkeeper Deck certificate of competency or above, and a DP Unlimited certificate
  • Current experience working in the offshore oil and gas industry on DP vessels, such as Platform Supply Vessels, Dive Support Vessels, Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels, Multi‑purpose Supply Vessels and/or Construction Support Vessels
  • Hold a valid AMSA and/or Norwegian Medical with a minimum validity of 6 months
  • Hold a current or be able to obtain a BOSIET-CAEBS certification is preferred
  • Hold a current MISC or be able to obtain one
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in an offshore work environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with intermediate computer skills and knowledge
  • Highly service minded and solution oriented
  • Ability to travel at short notice with Australian Work rights

Location

This position will be based offshore in Australian waters with occasional opportunities internationally.
