Job summary

DOF is seeking experienced Electro-Technical Officers (ETO) to join our marine team on offshore vessels. The role focuses on maintenance and operation of electrical and electronic systems, DP and navigation equipment, and communications across our specialised fleet.

Applicants should hold an ETO certificate (STCW III/6) with offshore experience, a current Australian Electrical Licence, and be prepared for offshore travel with Australian work rights. AMSA/Norwegian medical or similar is preferred.

Qualifications

  • ETO certificate of competency (STCW III/6) with at least two years offshore experience.
  • Experience on offshore DP vessels (Platform Supply Vessels, Dive Support Vessels, AHT/SPS vessels) preferred.
  • Current Electrical Licence from an Australian state.
  • AMS A/Norwegian medical or equivalent medical.
  • DP-KPOS certification is highly desirable.
  • Australian work rights required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer electrical, electronic installations, machinery automation, DP and navigation systems, and communication/network systems.
  • Ensure onboard equipment is compatible with vessel electrical supplies.
  • Verify electronic equipment compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain a detailed maintenance log for all activities.

DOF is seeking experienced and knowledgeable ETOs for current and future job opportunities to join our team.

This role offers the opportunity work offshore and broaden your experience in the maintenance and operation of electrical and electronic systems on our highly specialised vessels.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and administering all electrical, electronic installations, machinery automation, DP and navigation systems, as well as communication and network systems
  • Ensuring the electronic equipment onboard is suitable and compatible with the vessel electrical supplies
  • Checking electronic equipment and ensure it complies with the regulations
  • Managing a detailed log where all maintenance is recorded
Requirements
  • Electro-Technical Officer certificate of competency (STCW regulation III/6) with a minimum of two years offshore experience
  • Previous experience working in the offshore oil and gas industry on DP vessels, such as Platform Supply Vessels, Dive Support Vessels, Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels, Multi-purpose Supply Vessels and/or Construction Support Vessels
  • Hold a current Electrical Licence from an Australian state
  • Hold a current AMSA and/or Norwegian medical or similar
  • Hold a current BOSIET, CAEBS and MISC is preferred
  • DP-KPOS certified is highly desirable
  • Ability to travel at short notice with Australian Work rights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with intermediate computer skills and knowledge
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills with highly service minded and solution oriented

Location

This position will be based offshore in Australian waters with occasional opportunities internationally.
