Job summary

Quality People has a client urgently seeking an Export Control Officer for 11 months in Canberra. The role involves advising on Export Controls, managing TAAs and TPR registers, and ensuring ITAR compliance across complex acquisition environments.

The position requires delivery-focused engagement with stakeholders and holds NV2 security clearance as a minimum. This contract role offers an opportunity to contribute to defence-related programs within a regulated framework.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in complex acquisition or sustainment environments.
• Experience applying Export Controls under ITAR and FMS arrangements.
• Knowledge of capability acquisition, export compliance and licensing, ITAR compliance.

Job description

Our client URGENTLY requires an Export Control Officer for 11 months + Contract in Canberra.

The Export Control Officer is responsible for advising and managing Export Controls matters within the project office. You will provide advice to branch personnel in matters related to Export Controls and maintain Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA’s) and Third Party Retransfer (TPR’s) register.

Skills and Experience required include:

• Worked in complex acquisition or sustainment environments.
• Experience in applying Export Controls in ITAR and FMS arrangements.
• Experience with capability acquisition and delivery, export compliance and licensing and ITAR compliance.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skill is desirable.

Must have (minimum) NV2 security clearance.
