Job summary

Aston Advantage Brisbane is seeking a skilled forklift operator to move steel around the yard, load and unload trucks, and stock the workshop with needed materials. The role demands precise driving, smooth manoeuvres and a strong safety mindset.

Applicants must hold a current forklift licence and demonstrate confident, safe operation. Steel/warehouse experience is an advantage, but outstanding forklift ability is the priority.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence and exceptional practical operating skills.
• Ability to handle steel and move stock safely.
• Experience in steel, manufacturing or warehouse is advantageous.

Job description

Opportunity: Not every forklift operator is cut out for this one. We’re after someone who handles valuable materials and equipment with precision, confidence and total control. You’ll move steel around the yard, load and unload trucks, and keep the workshop supplied. Smooth manoeuvres, accurate positioning and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Experience: Current forklift licence and exceptional practical operating skills. You know your machine, judge clearances accurately and manoeuvre confidently without putting people, stock or equipment at risk. Steel, manufacturing or warehouse experience is an advantage, but outstanding forklift ability comes first.

Benefits: $35/hr | Temp-to-perm pathway | Optional OT | Monthly BBQs. Once permanent, you’ll be eligible for a yearly bonus and annual CPI-linked pay increases.

Extras: Mon–Thurs 7:00am–3:20pm | Fri 7:00am–1:00pm | 38-hour week | Two paid 20-minute breaks.
