Support Your Way Disability Services in Fremantle, WA is seeking an experienced disability support worker to assist with personal care, daily living tasks and community access. This casual, temporary role targets reliability, compassion and practical hands-on care.

You will perform hoist transfers, safe manual handling, domestic tasks, meal preparation, and transport support, following each participant's plan.

Qualifications

Support Your Way is seeking a motivated and experienced support worker to join our growing personal care team for persons with disabilities within Fremantle, WA.

Support workers promote a person with disability’s independence in the community, supporting them in their daily living tasks.

Support workers promote a person with disability’s independence in the community, supporting them in their daily living tasks. These tasks may include:

• Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Hoist transfers, positioning and safe manual handling.
• Domestic assistance, cleaning and meal preparation.
• Community access, social support and transport.
• Supporting regular swimming and wheelchair sport activities.
• Following the participant’s support plan and individual routines.
• Completing accurate, timely shift notes and communicating relevant changes or concerns.

Preference of Support Workers

• Experience with personal care, hoist transfers and safe manual handling is essential
• Strong communication skills and active listening for instructions
• Clear communication regarding availability and commitment to ongoing services

• Willingness to drive a participants vehicle is essential (training provided)
• Comprehensive Car Insurance is desirable
