Job summary

Spirit Care is seeking an experienced Female Disability Support Worker to join our South-West Sydney team on a part-time, ongoing shift basis. You will provide direct support to female NDIS participants across community access, in-home support, and day programs, delivering high-quality person-centred care with dignity and respect.

The role emphasizes building rapport, following participant support plans, and contributing to meaningful day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

• Previous disability support experience is essential.
• Experience with complex needs, behaviours of concern, autism, psychosocial disability, intellectual disability, personal care or high-support participants.
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or similar qualification will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to female NDIS participants across day program, community and in-home services.
• Build genuine rapport and maintain professional boundaries.
• Support participants with community access and social participation.
• Encourage independence and achievement of NDIS goals.
• Plan and facilitate meaningful activities rather than providing passive supervision.
• Support personal care, hygiene and daily living activities where required.
• Follow Behaviour Support Plans, risk assessments and participant support plans.
• Recognise changes in behaviour, presentation, health or wellbeing and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with Team Leaders and management.
