Job summary

Kirinari Disability Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our customer-specific support team. You will provide high-level personal care, facilitate community access and manage complex supports while building meaningful relationships with clients.

Ideal candidates are patient, attentive and comfortable in community settings, with strong documentation and communication skills. We offer onboarding, buddy shifts and pathways for career progression within our organisation.

The Role

You’ll support a customer to:

• Access community activities and appointments
• Participate in meaningful outings and experiences
• Receive personal care with dignity and respect
• Build confidence through consistent support
• Exercise choice, control and independence wherever possible

You will also:

• Provide full assistance with daily living and personal care tasks
• Support PEG feeding requirements and daily routines
• Complete safe 2:1 transfers and manual handling tasks
• Follow support plans and proactive support strategies
• Complete accurate documentation and progress notes
• Support safe community participation

• Experienced with transfers and manual handling

You won’t be expected to know everything on day one.

Essential Requirements

• Experience supporting people with complex disabilities or high support needs
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Driver Licence
• Experience with personal care, PEG feeding, transfers or manual handling is highly regarded
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Commitment to customer-specific training and buddy shifts
