Job summary

The Oxford Hotel is seeking a skilled cook to join our busy kitchen in Leederville, WA. You will prepare ingredients, cook a variety of dishes and ensure food safety standards are met. Help with menu planning and train junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) required.
• 1-3 years experience preferred.
• Experience in hospitality/kitchen operations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect ingredients and food supplies for freshness and suitability.
• Prepare ingredients, cook menu items to recipes and Chef's instructions.
• Set and monitor cooking temperatures and ensure food safety standards.
• Portion and present dishes according to standards.
• Assist with menu planning and training of junior staff.
