Job summary

Mr Lumberjack in Gisborne is seeking an experienced climbing arborist to join our established Gisborne crew. You’ll be a hands-on team member delivering safe, high‑quality tree work from day one and helping us keep clients happy.

Over time, there’s a real pathway to take on more responsibility: quotes, client management, leading people and understanding the numbers behind a successful tree crew. For the right person, the path can lead to running your own Mr Lumberjack team with profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Experience as a climbing arborist with a strong safety focus.
• Ability to work well with clients and teammates.

Experienced Climbing Arborist – Future Team Leader

Mr Lumberjack is looking for an experienced Climbing Arborist to join Tom and our established Gisborne crew.

First and foremost, we're looking for a bloody good climber — someone experienced, reliable, safe and capable of getting stuck into the work from day one.

But we're particularly interested in finding someone who wants somewhere to go with their career.

You might love climbing now, but you probably don't want to be doing it forever.

The opportunity

You'll initially join us as a climbing arborist, working as part of an established crew across Gisborne, the Macedon Ranges and surrounding areas. Over time, if you've got the ability and ambition, we'd like to teach you more of the business — quoting jobs, dealing with clients, managing work, leading people and understanding the numbers behind a successful tree crew.

For the right person, there is a genuine pathway towards eventually running your own Mr Lumberjack team and participating in our profit-share model.

You don't need to be ready to run a team tomorrow.
