Minimum two years’ NDIS PBS practitioner experience, living within 30 minutes of Sunbury.
A 23-hour weekly billable target, with flexibility to organise your own working week.
Practitioner-led service, with direct access to experienced clinical supervision, support and training.
Bring your experience to Human PBS
You know that effective behaviour support takes careful assessment, sound clinical reasoning and practical strategies that people can actually use.
At Human PBS, you will have autonomy to manage your caseload, access to clinical guidance and time for thoughtful practice. We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to support children and adults across Sunbury, the Macedon Ranges, Melton and surrounding communities.
To be considered, you must:
Have at least two years’ experience working specifically as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Have current NDIS Commission suitability to practise as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
Currently live within a 30-minute drive of central Sunbury under usual weekday travel conditions.
Your practitioner experience must include personally conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments, developing Behaviour Support Plans and supporting implementation and review. General disability support or therapy assistant experience does not meet the two-year practitioner requirement.
A clearly defined workload: A full-time billable target of 23 hours per week once your caseload is established, allowing time for supervision, reflection, research and professional development.
Experienced clinical support: Direct access to the Clinical Director; an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, for supervision, consultation and clinical consultation.
Professional autonomy: Flexibility to organise your diary and manage your work around participant needs and service commitments.
Work close to your community: A locally allocated caseload, with work primarily undertaken from home and in participant homes, schools and community settings.
A voice in a growing practice: Opportunities to contribute ideas, resources and improvements to how Human PBS delivers support and how our company grows.
You will manage an allocated caseload with regular clinical supervision and consultation. Your work will include:
Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and developing clear, evidence-informed formulations.
Developing practical Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans with participants and their support networks.
Coaching families, carers, schools and support providers to implement strategies consistently.
Reviewing outcomes, identifying safeguarding concerns and assessing restrictive practices, including developing reduction and fade-out strategies.
Maintaining timely reports, clinical records and accurate billing entries in Splose.
Alongside the essential requirements above, you will have:
A relevant tertiary qualification, such as social work, psychology, occupational therapy, speech pathology, education, disability or behaviour analysis, with eligibility for registration with the associated professional body.
Demonstrated clinical reasoning and experience translating assessment findings into practical strategies.
Knowledge of NDIS behaviour support requirements, safeguarding and restrictive practice reduction.
Clear report writing and the ability to collaborate respectfully with participants, families and professionals.
The ability to manage your caseload, respond constructively to feedback and seek clinical support when needed.
You will also need current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Checks, Australian working rights, a current driver licence and access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
Human PBS is a growing, practitioner-led, registered NDIS provider. Our practice is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, participant-driven and evidence-informed.
We focus on understanding each person in context, strengthening communication and skills, protecting rights and improving quality of life. Our values of respect, compassion, inclusion and connection guide our work with participants and within our team.
Applicants from diverse backgrounds, identities and abilities are welcome. Please let us know if you require adjustments during the recruitment process.
Applications will be assessed against the essential experience, suitability and location requirements above.
