Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Expeditor / Logistics professional to join our team on a major power station project in Queensland. You will coordinate and progress materials, equipment, logistics and supplier deliverables in line with project schedules to support construction activities.

Working with procurement, engineering, logistics, vendors, project controls, and site teams, you will manage supplier performance, monitor progress, and identify delays before they impact the project.

Qualifications

• Experience as Expeditor or in logistics coordination on major construction, mining, oil & gas, power, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain, materials management, expediting, freight and logistics processes.
• Experience managing suppliers, vendors, logistics providers, and critical delivery schedules on major projects.

Responsibilities

• Expedite supplier and vendor deliverables to ensure on-time delivery per project requirements.
• Coordinate and expedite delivery of materials, equipment and deliverables to align with construction schedules.
• Monitor and track purchase orders, fabrication status, manufacturing progress, inspections, testing, shipment schedules, and delivery milestones.
• Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, freight providers, subcontractors, procurement, engineering, and site teams for timely transportation and delivery of critical materials.
• Identify and manage risks, constraints and potential delays across procurement, supplier, materials and logistics activities.
• Maintain accurate expediting, materials, logistics and delivery reports, forecasts and status updates for stakeholders.
• Liaise with suppliers and project stakeholders to resolve issues, coordinate inspections, FAT, vendor documentation and delivery requirements.
• Align procurement, materials and logistics activities with construction schedules in collaboration with project controls and planning teams.

You will play a critical role in coordinating and progressing materials, equipment, logistics and supplier deliverables in line with project schedules to support construction activities.

Working closely with procurement, engineering, logistics, vendors, project controls, and site teams, you will proactively manage supplier performance, monitor material and equipment progress, coordinate logistics activities, and identify potential delays before they impact the project.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Expedite supplier and vendor deliverables to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time and in accordance with project requirements.
• Coordinate and expedite the delivery of materials, equipment, and supplier deliverables to ensure they are available in line with project requirements and construction schedules.
• Monitor and track purchase orders, fabrication status, manufacturing progress, inspections, testing, shipment schedules, and material delivery milestones.
• Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, freight providers, subcontractors, procurement, engineering, and site teams to ensure timely transportation and delivery of critical materials.
• Identify and proactively manage risks, constraints, and potential delays across procurement, supplier, materials, and logistics activities.
• Maintain accurate expediting, materials, logistics, and delivery reports, forecasts, and status updates, ensuring project stakeholders have clear visibility of progress.
• Liaise closely with suppliers and project stakeholders to resolve issues, coordinate inspections, factory acceptance testing (FAT), vendor documentation, and delivery requirements.
• Work closely with project controls and planning teams to align procurement, materials, and logistics activities with construction schedules, escalating critical issues and recommending mitigation strategies where required.

What you’ll bring:

• Previous experience in an Expeditor, Logistics Manager, Logistics Coordinator, Expediting Manager, Materials Coordinator, Supply Chain, Procurement, or similar role on major construction, mining, oil & gas, power generation, energy, infrastructure, or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain, materials management, expediting, manufacturing, freight, and logistics processes.
• Experience managing suppliers, vendors, logistics providers, and critical delivery schedules on major projects.
• Ability to interpret project schedules and understand procurement, materials, and logistics-driven milestones and dependencies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to managing delivery risks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/procurement systems, with the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
