Job summary

Uniting AgeWell Limited is seeking a qualified Exercise Scientist to deliver evidence-based programs for older adults, enhancing mobility, strength and balance through individualised and group sessions on-site at the Burwood Hub, with home-based options where appropriate.

In this permanent full-time role, you will work within a multidisciplinary team, assess needs, develop care plans and lead adaptations to support independence and wellbeing for our clients in the aged care setting.

Qualifications

• ESSA accreditation as an Exercise Scientist.
• Experience performing physical assessments and creating care plans.
• Experience leading group exercise programs for older adults.
• Proficiency in Pilates (reformer & floor), Yoga and Tai Chi.
• Experience in Aged Care or community sectors preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based exercise programs for older adults on-site and home-based visits.
• Assess, plan and implement interventions to improve mobility, strength and balance.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other health professionals.
• Maintain client records and contribute to program evaluation.
• Support independence and wellbeing through goal-directed services at Burwood Hub.
