Job summary

Seymour Health in central Seymour is seeking a qualified Exercise Physiologist to join our allied health team on a part-time contract. You will assess participants, design individualised exercise programs and deliver evidence-based interventions in homes and community settings.

ESSA-accredited AEP required; you will work independently and with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining documentation, and advocating person-centred care.

Allied Health Exercise Physiologist, Physiotherapist

We are seeking a qualified and appropriately accredited Exercise Physiologist to join our team on a a part-time contract.

The successful candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to person-centred care. You will work independently and collaboratively to deliver safe, evidence-based exercise interventions that support participants to improve their health, function and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply strong clinical reasoning and risk assessment skills.

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology or a recognised equivalent qualification.
• Current Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP).
• Demonstrated skills in assessment, exercise prescription, program development and clinical review.
• Strong clinical reasoning, risk assessment and evidence-based exercise programming skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Current Australian driver's licence.

Our services include a 30-bed public hospital that provides public and private Acute medical and surgical, renal dialysis and day procedures. Seymour Health’s breadth of services extends to post-acute care, palliative care, sub-acute ambulatory service, oral health services, district nursing and community services.Barrabill House is a 40-bed residential aged care service that provideshighly rated residential aged care.
