NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is seeking an Executive Project Officer in Newcastle on a 14‑month, full‑time temporary basis. The role supports Group Directors with executive coordination, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, driving business improvement and service delivery across NSW Public Works.

A NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel are essential. The position offers a 35‑hour week with flexible start/finish times, flex leave, and generous

Qualifications

• Provide high‑level executive and project coordination support to senior directors.
• Prepare high‑quality reports, briefs and presentations for internal and ministerial audiences.
• Identify and lead business improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and collaboration.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Travel to regional/remote locations as required and hold a current NSW Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive and project coordination to ensure effective strategy implementation.
• Coordinate resources, produce reports/briefs/presentations, monitor outcomes.
• Lead business improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
