Job summary

The National Melbourne is seeking an Executive Manager – Schools to lead the administration and strategic growth of its Ballet and Drama Schools. This senior role reports to the CEO and oversees the Directors of Ballet and Drama.

You will expand visibility, viability and success through recruitment, optimized operations, sector engagement and robust planning, while ensuring compliance and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in an educational environment with regulatory standards (RTO 2025, ASQA).
• TAE40116 or equivalent compliance qualification required.
• WBCC/Child Safety/Police Check and First Aid Level 2 required.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration and strategic growth of Ballet and Drama Schools.
• Oversee Directors of Ballet and Drama; report to CEO.
• Ensure RTO compliance, child safety, student wellbeing, and sector engagement across Australia and internationally.
• Develop scholarships, sponsorships and donor initiatives with Philanthropic Development & Marketing.

Executive Manager – Schools

The National Melbourne | St Kilda, VIC

The National Melbourne is looking for an Executive Manager – Schools to lead the administration and strategic growth of our full‑time and part‑time Ballet and Drama Schools. This senior executive role reports directly to the CEO and oversees the Directors of Ballet and Drama.

You will grow the Schools’ visibility, viability and success through student recruitment, optimised operations, sector engagement and sound strategic planning. You will lead RTO compliance, child safety and student wellbeing, and build relationships with industry experts, feeder schools, educators and community partners across Australia and internationally.

You will work closely with our Executive Manager - Philanthropic Development & Marketing on scholarships, sponsorship and donor initiatives, and you’ll be responsible for a profitable, financially viable Schools operation.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Experience in an educational environment, particularly with RTO Standards 2025 and ASQA scope amendments
• Working knowledge of VSL funding, the ESOS National Code, and PRISMS and CRICOS
• A TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Compliance qualification, or equivalent experience in training and assessment
• A Working with Children Check, Child Safety Certification, Police Check and current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
• Experience in invoicing and financial procedures
• Genuine interest in the performing arts and a willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends around productions and graduation ceremonies
