Job summary

Quantium is seeking a high-impact Business Development leader in Sydney to own new revenue across Australian retail, guiding the sales cycle from prospecting to close. You will shape go-to-market strategies for retail analytics and AI offerings, build a strong pipeline, and partner with ecosystem players to accelerate deals.

Qualifications

• Senior B2B sales experience with a track record of meeting new revenue targets.
• Strong knowledge of Australian retail/FMCG sector and drivers of value from data.
• Proven background selling enterprise tech or platform solutions in a consultative context.
• Experience with partner-enabled selling and working with ecosystem partners.
• Demonstrated pipeline discipline and forecasting in long sales cycles.

How will you make an impact?

• New revenue ownership: Own and deliver against the Australian retail new revenue target, with full accountability across the sales cycle from prospecting through to commercial close.
• Go-to-market leadership: Lead GTM activity across Quantium's retail analytics and AI transformation offerings, developing tailored value propositions for each target client and segment.
• Pipeline development: Build and manage a robust pipeline of new retail opportunities, progressing active relationships while simultaneously qualifying and advancing a broader prospect base.
• Partner-enabled selling: Develop and execute a partner model that leverages technology ecosystem partners to generate and accelerate new business leads.
• Executive engagement: Build and maintain senior client relationships across the Australian retail sector, positioning Quantium as a strategic data and AI partner at the executive level.

The superpowers you’ll be bringing to the team:

• BD track record: Demonstrated success in senior B2B sales or business development, with a history of delivering against new revenue targets and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
• Retail and FMCG expertise: Deep knowledge of the Australian retail and/or FMCG sector, including an understanding of key business drivers, commercial challenges, and how data and technology create measurable value.
• Enterprise solutions experience: Proven background selling enterprise technology or platform solutions in a consultative environment, with experience in data, analytics, or AI solutions highly advantageous.
• Partner ecosystem fluency: Experience with partner-enabled selling, including working with technology ecosystem partners to generate, qualify, and advance opportunities.
• Commercial rigour: Strong pipeline discipline and forecasting capability, with experience managing complex sales cycles over extended timeframes.
