Job summary

Equinix Australia is seeking a Senior Director of Data Centre Operations to own day-to-day operations, maintenance, and performance for 18 data centres and 200+ FTEs across the country. You will drive strategic priorities aligned with our next-gen platform strategy and oversee incident response, capacity and continuity planning.

You will lead a large, diverse team, evolve global standards, and partner with Compliance, Security and other functions to ensure safety and exceptional customer

Qualifications

Proven track record leading 80–100+ frontline staff in data centre operations.
Experience managing incident response, problem resolution and change management.
Strong execution focus with measurable performance improvements.
Comfort leading in a matrix organisation with multi-disciplinary teams.
Sustainability mindset, energy and water usage awareness.

Responsibilities

Establish and track KPIs, SLAs, and budget for data centre operations.
Oversee incident response, resolution, and change management with customers.
Develop and implement business continuity, disaster preparedness, and logistics plans.
Ensure safety measures and consistent front-line operations across all data centres in country.
Lead a diverse APAC regional operations team and drive global policy alignment.
