Job summary

Aspen Medical is seeking a Director – Clinical Governance to shape and strengthen clinical governance across a national healthcare portfolio. You will design, implement and continuously improve governance and assurance systems to support safe, high-quality services across metropolitan, regional, remote and on-base environments.

Reporting to the executive team, you will lead a high-performing function, translate governance principles into practical systems, and collaborate with clinical leaders

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience across clinical governance, healthcare quality, patient safety, accreditation, credentialling or healthcare assurance.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing clinical governance frameworks and assurance systems.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulation, accreditation, credentialling and capability assurance.
• Ability to translate governance requirements into practical operational solutions.
• Highly developed leadership, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with government-contracted healthcare and large dispersed workforces is valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of clinical governance frameworks and assurance mechanisms.
• Provide leadership across clinical safety, quality, risk management, incident management and credentialling.
• Establish and oversee clinical audit, performance monitoring and quality improvement programs.
• Lead credentialling, recredentialling and professional assurance frameworks.
• Provide governance reporting, dashboards and assurance to executive, Board and stakeholders.
• Build and lead a high-performing Clinical Governance team and embed accountability culture.
