Job summary

Quest King William South in Adelaide is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team across our hospitality facilities. The role focuses on maintaining the highest cleanliness, hygiene and presentation standards, while overseeing all housekeeping operations and guest comfort.

You will supervise staff, manage inventories and coordinate with front office, maintenance and management to address guest requests.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or supervisory housekeeping role in hotel or serviced apartments.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, hygiene and sanitation.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Attention to detail and maintaining high standards.
• Strong organizational and multi-priority management.
• Excellent communication across staff and departments.
• Knowledge of housekeeping management systems (preferred).
• First Aid qualification (preferred).

About the role

Quest King William South is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to join our Adelaide SA 5000 location. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across our accommodation facilities. As Executive Housekeeper, you will lead the housekeeping team and oversee all aspects of housekeeping operations, ensuring our guests experience exceptional standards during their stay. This position is essential to our commitment to delivering outstanding guest satisfaction and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the hospitality sector.

Key responsibilities

Supervise, train and schedule the housekeeping team to ensure efficient daily operations and consistent service delivery

Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of all guest rooms, communal areas and facilities to the highest standards

Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies and hygiene standards

Manage housekeeping inventories, including cleaning supplies, linens and equipment, and maintain appropriate stock levels

Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and protocols to maximise efficiency and maintain service excellence

Coordinate with other departments including front office, maintenance and management to address guest requests and concerns

Respond to guest complaints and feedback regarding housekeeping matters in a professional and timely manner

Monitor team performance and conduct regular staff appraisals and coaching sessions

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of cleaning materials

Prepare reports on occupancy rates, staffing levels and housekeeping performance metrics

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Executive Housekeeper or similar supervisory housekeeping role in a hotel, serviced apartments or hospitality establishment

Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques and standards of hygiene and sanitation

Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

Outstanding attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining consistently high standards

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels and departments

Problem-solving ability and professional approach to handling guest concerns

Knowledge of housekeeping management systems and software (preferred)

Current First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one (preferred)

Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and public holidays as required
