Job summary

The City of West Torrens is seeking a General Manager, Corporate Services to join its Executive Leadership Team and influence the organisation’s strategic direction and financial sustainability.

You will provide leadership over financial services, people, procurement, safety, compliance, and information services, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting and reporting. This role requires strategic policy guidance and strong governance in a complex local government setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related discipline is essential.
• Postgraduate qualifications, CPA or CA credentials and local government experience will be highly regarded.
• Experience leading executive teams and shaping policy in a complex local government environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and operational management across financial services, people, procurement and safety, compliance, and information services.
• Oversee Council’s budget, financial operations, forecasting, long-term financial planning and reporting.
• Offer strategic and policy advice to the CEO and Council and drive organisational performance.
