Qualifications

• Significant senior executive leadership experience
• Deep knowledge of the research lifecycle and research services environment
• Proven track record in service transformation and organisational change
• Ability to translate strategy into operational delivery with clear accountability and performance measures
• Excellent stakeholder leadership and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
• Strong risk management, governance and compliance understanding
• Financial acumen including budgeting and strategic investing
• Excellent communication, negotiation and advisory capabilities
• Resilience and composure under pressure

Responsibilities

• Lead five core areas: Research Pipeline and Pre-Award; Post-Award Research Services; Clinical Trials; Research Ethics, Governance and Assurance; and Research Services and Improvement
• Transform and integrate end-to-end research services to reduce administrative burden
• Provide trusted advisory support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and senior leaders
• Drive service excellence, policy influence and continuous improvement
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable seamless processes
• Ensure alignment with the University's strategic ambitions and governance requirements
