Job summary

National Australia Bank in Sydney is seeking an Executive Director to lead origination, structuring and execution of large-scale data centre and digital infrastructure transactions. You will work with investors, sponsors and multinational clients to design tailored financing solutions and drive pivotal outcomes.

You will partner with Corporate & Institutional Banking to deliver holistic client outcomes, navigate complex discussions and mentor the team with deep sector expertise.

Qualifications

• Extensive project finance experience, ideally in large-scale infrastructure.
• Data Centre / digital infrastructure knowledge and market understanding.
• Strong credit structuring, modelling and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination, structuring and execution of transactions in Data Centres and Digital Infrastructure including core plus structures.
• Collaborate with private capital investors, sponsors and institutional clients to tailor financing solutions.
• Represent NAB in external discussions with customers, banks and advisers on complex financing outcomes.
• Partner with Corporate & Institutional Banking to identify cross‑selling opportunities and holistic client solutions.
• Provide guidance and coaching to the team, bringing sector expertise to senior stakeholders.

In the role of Executive Director, you will work closely with our Global Institutional Bankingteam, contributing to key business priorities and continuously improving how we serve our customers.

You’ll make an impact each day by:

• Lead the origination, structuring and execution of transactions across Data Centres, Digital Infrastructure and Core Plus Infrastructure, spanning acquisition finance, greenfield project finance and other structured finance opportunities

• Work with private capital investors, private equity sponsors, institutional and multinational clients to develop tailored financing solutions

• Take a leading role in external discussions with customers, syndicate banks and advisers, navigating complex transactions and commercial outcomes

• Partner across Corporate & Institutional Banking to identify broader opportunities and deliver more holistic outcomes for clients

• Operate as a senior individual contributor, bringing deep sector and transaction expertise while providing guidance and coaching across the broader team as required

You’ll bring to this role:

• Extensive Project Finance or related experience, ideally gained within a Tier 1 domestic or international bank, or from a relevant infrastructure / Data Centre platform

• Demonstrated Data Centre / Digital Infrastructure experience, coupled with strong knowledge of the broader infrastructure financing environment

• Deep capability across credit structuring, risk assessment, financial analysis/modelling, negotiation and credit writing

• Strong understanding of project and finance documentation, with the commercial judgement to lead complex financing discussions

• The ability to interpret market and portfolio trends and translate complex sector insights clearly for clients and senior stakeholders
