Job summary

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) invites applications for the role of Executive Director, Aboriginal Health. The position reports to the CEO and provides strategic leadership to improve Aboriginal health across the Southern Adelaide Metropolitan Area.

You will drive culturally safe services, develop and monitor health policies, and collaborate with communities, clinical teams and stakeholders to deliver better outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Aboriginal communities and culture.
• Degree or tertiary qualification in Business, Health Services Management, Planning or related discipline.
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.
• Superior interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven leadership and accountability capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and executive leadership for Aboriginal Health across the Southern Adelaide Metropolitan Area.
• Lead development, implementation and monitoring of Aboriginal Health policies, strategies and service plans.
• Build partnerships with Aboriginal communities, staff and stakeholders.
• Translate priorities into practical actions to improve health outcomes.
• Manage resources to achieve priorities and sustainable service outcomes.
