  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and competing demands.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage professionally at executive level.
  • Advanced digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and document and presentation preparation tools.

About the Role

The Executive Assistant provides high-level executive and operational support to the Executive Director Student Services and senior leaders within the Student Services Division. This pivotal role ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the divisional office through the coordination of executive administration, stakeholder engagement, communications, and project support. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, enabling them to focus on achieving strategic priorities and delivering an exceptional experience for students.

About the Team

The Student Services Division plays a critical role in supporting student success across the University of Wollongong. Reporting to the Executive Director Student Services, this role works closely with Associate Directors, senior leaders, executive assistants across the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) Portfolio, and a range of internal and external stakeholders. Together, the team delivers high-quality services and initiatives that enhance the student experience and support the University's strategic goals.

What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level executive assistant, administrative or secretarial support within a complex organisation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and competing demands.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage professionally at executive level.
  • Advanced digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams and document and presentation preparation tools.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, professionalism and sound judgement.
  • Employment type: Fixed Term, Full-time appointment (ends 28 April 2027)
  • Level 5: $85,682 - $96,898 plus 17% superannuation commensurate with experience and capability
  • Location: Wollongong Campus
  • Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
