Job summary

Mineral Resources is seeking a highly organised Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Director, Technical Services. This role offers exposure to exploration, mine planning, environmental approvals, heritage and more within a broad technical portfolio.

You will manage diaries, prepare meetings, coordinate governance papers, and help ensure timely delivery of strategic initiatives across corporate and site teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting a senior executive in Mining and Resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage demanding diaries, travel, meetings and frequently changing priorities.
  • Excellent organisation, planning and time-management skills.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience preparing professional correspondence, reports, presentations and meeting materials.
  • Exceptional discretion handling confidential information and taking initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a complex diary, meetings, priorities, correspondence and domestic travel across multiple sites and offices.
  • Preparing the Director for key meetings, site visits, decisions and leadership commitments.
  • Coordinating Board and Board Committee papers, ensuring submissions meet governance calendars, templates and document-control requirements.
  • Preparing and coordinating executive reports, presentations, meeting materials, budgets, forecasts, workforce plans and strategic-planning documentation.
  • Coordinating leadership meetings, technical forums, workshops, offsites and cross-functional working groups.
  • Tracking actions, maintaining visibility of due dates and following up with stakeholders to support timely delivery.
  • Coordinating review and approval of departmental communications, capital approvals and contract execution requests.
  • Arranging travel, accommodation, site access, inductions, meeting logistics and event requirements.
  • Processing expenses, purchase orders and invoices in accordance with company policy.
  • Acting as a professional first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Building strong relationships across geographically dispersed technical, operational and corporate teams.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organised, discreet and proactive Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to our Director, Technical Services.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the centre of a broad and technically diverse portfolio, supporting leadership across exploration and geology, environmental approvals and heritage, strategic planning, mine planning, water, geotechnical engineering, tailings, and platforms and products.

As a trusted partner to the Director and Technical Services leadership team, you will ensure priorities are managed effectively, governance commitments are met, and communication flows smoothly between corporate teams, operational sites and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience supporting a senior executive as an Executive Assistant or senior executive administrative professional within the Mining and Resources industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage demanding diaries, travel, meetings and frequently changing priorities.
  • Excellent organisation, planning and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience preparing professional correspondence, reports, presentations and meeting materials.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgement and a high level of discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Confidence working independently, taking initiative and coordinating activity on behalf of an executive leader.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to build productive relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using digital and enterprise tools such as SharePoint, Coupa, SuccessFactors, DocuSign, Nitro PDF Pro and AI-enabled productivity tools will be highly regarded.
