Job summary

First Focus is seeking an AI Consultant to help Australian businesses move from novelty to practical AI use cases. You’ll work directly with executives to shape strategy, run workshops, and design solutions using OpenAI and Anthropic, while guiding responsible AI adoption.

The role blends strategic guidance with hands-on client engagement, offering a hybrid work model and opportunities to grow within Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology consulting, digital transformation or AI advisory.
• Strong understanding of generative AI platforms, ideally OpenAI and/or Anthropic.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in plain English.
• Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Confidence advising customers on AI governance, ethics and responsible adoption.
• Commercial thinking with the ability to balance innovation and practical business outcomes.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to work independently.
• A genuine passion for learning because AI certainly isn't slowing down for anyone.

Responsibilities

• Identify AI opportunities that improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Translate business challenges into practical AI use cases and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead AI discovery workshops with customers and key stakeholders.
• Champion AI adoption across client organisations and build confidence through education.
• Advise customers on AI strategy, governance and responsible AI practices.
• Design and recommend AI solutions using leading platforms including OpenAI and Anthropic.
• Build trusted relationships with executives and operational teams alike.
• Stay across emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities that create real value for customers.
• Work closely with technical and consulting teams to deliver successful client outcomes.
