Gold Fields in Western Australia is seeking an experienced excavator operator for our surface mining team at the St Ives Gold Mine. The role involves loading ore and waste, supporting production targets, and maintaining equipment while minimising dilution and downtime.
FIFO options from Perth with residential arrangements to Kalgoorlie or Kambalda are offered. We provide six months of company-provided accommodation for eligible candidates and relocation support.
In this role, reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will operate excavators to extract ore and waste while minimising dilution and ore loss. You will support production targets and safe mining practices as part of our Surface Mining team at our owner-operated St Ives Gold Mine.
Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles. Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Eligibility and final terms will be discussed during the recruitment process.
