Job summary

Ekad Earthmoving is seeking an experienced General Hire Excavator Operator to join our team in Reedy Creek, Queensland on a part-time basis that may lead to full-time. You will operate heavy machinery with precision and efficiency on general hire projects around the Gold Coast.

Key duties include digging pools, site excavations, slab prep, and routine maintenance while ensuring safety. Requires HR license and a minimum of 2 years general hire experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in general hire.
• Proficient in operating and maintaining excavators (1.7–8 ton), Posi-tracks, Bobcats and tip trucks.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and construction techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate excavators 1.7 ton to 8 ton and related machinery on general hire around the Gold Coast.
• Carry out earthmoving tasks such as digging pools, slab prep, site excavations, and site clean-ups.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment for safety and performance.

Ekad Earthmoving is seeking an experienced General Hire Excavator Operator to join our team in Reedy Creek, Queensland on a part-time basis that may lead to full-time. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in the execution of our construction projects, leveraging your skills and expertise to operate heavy machinery with precision and efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Safely and proficiently operate, excavators 1.7 ton to 8 ton & Posi-tracks & Bobcats & Tip Trucks on general hire in and around the Gold Coast, Brisbane & northern NSW.

Carry out various earthmoving tasks such as digging Pools, General Hire, Site excavations, Slab preps, and Site clean-ups.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Collaborate with the construction team to execute project plans and meet deadlines

Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure the smooth coordination of operations

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an Excavator Operator general hire, in the construction industry

Proficient in the operation and maintenance of excavators, Posi-Tracks & Bobcats.

Strong understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions

MUST HAVE A HR driver's license and relevant certificates and tickets

MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF GENERAL HIRE EXPERIENCE
