Job summary

Mackellar is recruiting experienced operators to join Bravus’ Carmichael Mine site in regional Queensland. The role involves operating 400+ tonne excavators and large mining dozers, with a 7/7 roster and FIFO flights from Townsville, Rockhampton or Cairns.

You'll work in an onsite village with meals and facilities, and have opportunities for upskilling and promotion while contributing to safe, efficient mining operations at Carmichael.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ experience operating 400+ tonne large open cut mining excavators and large mining dozers.
• RII competencies (or verified training transcript within the past 5 years)
• Current Standard 11 and Driver’s Licence
• A strong commitment to safety at all times
• Team-focused attitude and flexibility to get the job done
• Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• $69.28 p/h ($157,612 annually) + Super paid on all rostered hours
• FIFO flights from Townsville, Rockhampton or Cairns
• 7/7 roster with optional OT on day shift
• Camp, pit & airport all within 5 mins – no long travel days
