Job summary

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a team within a 24/7 transport network. You will collaborate with Area Managers to drive innovation, monitor attendance, and ensure safe, efficient execution of daily tasks across shifts from Wednesday to Saturday, 00:00–10:00, at the Sort facility.

The role requires proactive leadership, coaching, and the ability to address issues promptly while maintaining productivity standards and key performance indicators.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg and stand/walk for up to 10 hours.

Responsibilities

• Foster a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to laws and policies.
• Oversee daily departmental tasks and assist in operations management.
• Conduct staff debriefs and ensure paperwork is accurate.
• Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Allocate tasks to staff to meet daily targets and maintain workflow.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage training, absences, and coaching.
• Support onboarding and training of new associates to ensure task proficiency.
• Collaborate with Area Managers to track, analyze, and report metrics.
• Identify factors affecting achievement of objectives and report findings.
• Monitor associate hours and schedules, and address process-related issues.
• Report equipment defects promptly and accurately.

Operations Supervisor, Amazon Logistics (Wednesday to Saturday, 00:00-10:00, Sort)

Description

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to collaborate with the Area Managers and Operations Managers in driving innovation and ensuring effective execution within transportation networks. This role requires a proactive leader capable of inspiring a team to achieve performance goals and productivity standards that align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring team attendance and workflow, working closely with the Area Managers and Operations Managers to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.

Amazon Operations and Distribution is a 24/7 environment and shifts may change due to business needs.

Key job responsibilities

• Contribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies
• Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks
• Conduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed
• Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Allocate tasks to staff as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets
• Ensure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity
• Support the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks
• Collaborate with the Area Managers and Operations Managers in tracking, analyzing, and reporting metrics
• Support the Area Managers and Operations Managers in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of objectives
• Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules
• Address and resolve process-related issues within the area as needed
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects

Basic Qualifications

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Can lift up to 20kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing teams
• Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
