Job summary
The Grounds Group is seeking experienced waitstaff to join our events team, delivering premium service across weddings, corporate events and gala dinners at our iconic venues in Sydney. You will work across venues in Alexandria and Eveleigh, carrying plates with confidence and maintaining high presentation and efficiency from guest arrival to farewell.
Weekend availability is essential with NSW RSA certification and full Australian working rights; as we head into a busy season we have up to 35
Qualifications
- Well-presented with excellent English communication.
- Experience as a section waiter in fine dining and events.
- Ability to deliver premium table service in fast-paced environments.
- Must hold a NSW RSA certificate.
- Full Australian working rights and weekend availability.
- Weekend availability including Fridays and Saturdays, plus evenings and peak periods.
Responsibilities
- Deliver seamless food and beverage service across events - weddings, corporate events and gala dinners (100–1000 guests).
- Confidently carrying three plates and clearing with speed and professionalism.
- 3-plate carry and 5-plate clear with confident tray service.
- Setting up and running banquet-style functions.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and efficiency throughout service.

Delivering seamless food and beverage service across various events - weddings, corporate, cocktail parties from 100 - 1000.
Confidently carrying three plates and clearing with speed and professionalism
3-plate carry and 5-plate clear as well as confident tray service.
Setting up and running banquet-style functions
Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and efficiency throughout service
Well-presented and excellent English communication skills essential
Previous experience as a section waiter in fine dining and events
Confidence in premium table service
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
A current NSW RSA certificate
Full Australian working rights
Weekend availability, including Fridays and Saturdays, plus evenings and peak event periods. Reliability is essential !
