Job summary

Millennium Services Group is seeking enthusiastic, professional Event Security Officers to join our growing Melbourne events security team. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment for patrons, staff and performers at a wide range of events.

Shifts are weekdays and weekends with day and night options; role is casual. Bring your current Victorian Security Licence with Crowd Controller endorsement, First Aid/CPR, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure memorable experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• A current Victorian Security Licence with Crowd Controller endorsement.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Previous experience in event security, crowd control, venue security or customer service is highly regarded, but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A professional, approachable and customer-focused attitude.
• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures.
• A reliable work ethic with excellent punctuality.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a strong security presence.
• Monitor crowd behaviour and assist with crowd management.
• Conduct access control, ticket validation and bag inspections where required.
• Patrol venues and identify potential safety or security risks.
• Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies and customer enquiries.
• Assist with emergency procedures and venue evacuations when required.
• Enforce venue rules and security procedures while maintaining a positive customer experience.
