Sheraton Port Douglas seeks an experienced Events Manager to coordinate meetings, weddings and functions, ensuring flawless execution from planning to post-event follow-up.

You will lead a team, collaborate with catering and sales, and act as a Sheraton ambassador to strengthen guest relationships and community presence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meetings, events and wedding functions end-to-end.
• Generate and manage Banquet Event Orders for upcoming functions.
• Oversee banquet setups prior to events and functions.
• Lead the sales team to deliver exceptional service and guest experience.
• Act as a Sheraton ambassador and build community relations.
• Drive customer loyalty through welcoming guest experiences and partnerships.

• Responsible for managing the effective coordination & execution of meetings, events and wedding functions
• Generate and manage Banquet Event Orders for upcoming functions, meetings, conferences and events, ensuring the team focus on attention to detail
• Oversee Banquet set ups prior to commencement of events and functions
• Lead the like-minded Sales team to provide a quality of service and exceed guest expectations
• Act as a Sheraton ambassador, creating a space for the community to gather and belong
• Support the hotel's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by inviting, welcoming and connecting with our guests through each customer experience
• Work closely with the Catering and Sales team to maximise all potential business leads
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new guests through engaging experiences and thoughtful service, enabling future bookings
• Be a confident and welcoming leader, creating a community that empowers your team to grow and reach their potential
• Plan and execute team building activities for your team as together we are better.
• Ensure you and the team uphold all company policies and procedures and complete all required managerial tasks in a prompt & thorough manner.
