Job summary

St Kilda Football Club is seeking an experienced Events Lead to own designated events from planning through delivery, collaborating with Corporate Sales, the CEO Office, Board and Coterie Groups to balance commercial objectives with customer experience and brand integrity.

You will manage event systems including Salesforce and Blackthorn, ensure accurate registrations and reporting, and drive continuous improvement through AI, automation and streamlined workflows to support the club’s

Qualifications

• Proven experience planning, leading and delivering events.
• Experience managing event budgets and supplier relationships.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience using CRM and event management systems (builds, registration, reporting).
• Confidence using AI, automation or other digital tools to improve workflows.
• The ability to develop detailed event plans involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Availability to work flexible hours across seven days during the football season.
• A valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one.
• A tertiary qualification in Event Management, Business, Marketing or related discipline.
• Experience within professional sport, events or fast-paced environments.
• Experience using Salesforce and Blackthorn.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering designated Club events to brief, on time and within budget.
• Acting as the primary contact for assigned events and proactively resolving issues as they arise.
• Providing effective on-the-ground event leadership and leading staff and supplier briefings.
• Managing event registrations, guest allocations, communications, attendance records and post-event reconciliation.
• Maintaining accurate event and customer data across Salesforce and Blackthorn.
• Developing consistent processes, templates and workflows that improve efficiency.
• Identifying practical opportunities to use AI and automation across event planning, administration, communications, reporting and team workflows.
• Producing event reporting and insights across registrations, attendance and customer feedback.
• Leading pre- and post-event reviews and using feedback to continually improve event delivery.
