Job summary

Rydges South Bank, part of EVT, is seeking an on-site Conference Sales professional to coordinate conferences, dinners and events from enquiry to post-event follow-up. You will generate leads, book appointments, and work with back-of-house teams to exceed client expectations.

You’ll be essential in turning each event into the next, promoting EVT’s Daymaker ethos. Join a daymaker culture with opportunities across EVT’s hotels and entertainment network in Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily sales admin — correspondence, filing, quotes, calls, and post-event follow-up
• Coordinate conferences, dinners, weddings, accommodation, and private dining bookings
• Manage bookings accurately from enquiry to cancellation, following SOPs
• Generate leads, book appointments, and follow up enquiries
• Partner with back-of-house teams to deliver events that exceed client expectations
• Be on-site running events as coordinator, or as directed by the DOS or GM
• Run site inspections for clients and suppliers
• Keep iVvy up to date with sales activity, client details, and bookings
• Prepare reports for the Conference Sales Manager, GM, or ad hoc as needed
• Turn every event into the next one — follow up post-event to win repeat business
• Champion the hotel and EVT brand at every touchpoint
• Show up for meetings, training, and your team
