Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Sunshine Coast Convention Centre is seeking energetic and reliable Food & Beverage Housepersons for casual shifts. You will set up and pack down conference, banquet and event spaces, move heavy equipment, and assist with both indoor and outdoor event setups.

Qualifications

• Energetic, reliable and hands-on attitude.
• Physically fit with ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
• Flexible with shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and pack down conference, banquet and event spaces.
• Move tables, chairs, staging, equipment and other heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Prepare small meeting rooms and large event spaces for a variety of functions.
• Assist with outdoor event set-ups and pack-downs.
• Ensure event spaces are clean, organised and presented to a high standard.
• Work closely with the Food & Beverage and Events teams to ensure smooth event operations.
• Assist with general Food & Beverage duties from time to time, including supporting service and maintaining clean and organised areas.
• Follow safe manual handling practices and workplace procedures.
• Be ready to jump in and help wherever needed.
