Job summary

Mint and Mingle in Melbourne is seeking an Event Operations Supervisor to lead our Melbourne events and take ownership of setup and presentation. You will supervise F&B teams, ensure client standards are met, and coordinate weekly office/warehouse checks for linen, styling items and equipment.

The role requires strong leadership, styling eye, and excellent organisation, with a flexible roster including some evenings and weekends. Reports to the Melbourne Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise food and beverage teams at events, from setup and staff briefing through service and pack down.
• Check the finished presentation of bars, food stations and event spaces against our standards.
• Spend approximately one day a week in the office and warehouse checking linen, flowers, styling items, servingware and equipment, and following up on anything that needs cleaning or replacement.
• Review event paperwork, menus and run sheets, and help prepare clear briefings for the team.
• Identify missing items or potential problems early, take action and keep the Melbourne Operations Manager informed.
• Coach casual staff to deliver consistent service and presentation standards.

KOL Hospitality Group delivers food and beverage experiences through Mint & Mingle and Kegs on Legs. We’re looking for an Event Operations Supervisor who can lead our Melbourne events and take real ownership of how they are prepared and presented.

This role is for someone who notices the details. You’ll make sure the team has what it needs, the setup matches what the client booked, and any issue with styling, equipment or presentation is fixed before guests arrive.

What you'll do

• Supervise food and beverage teams at events, from setup and staff briefing through service and pack down.

Many of our events in the lead up to Christmas are held midweek. The role also includes weekend events, often with afternoon or evening starts.

You’ll report to our Melbourne Operations Manager and have the opportunity to make a visible difference to the quality of our events. As the business grows, there may be opportunities to take on broader responsibility.
