Job summary

Miss Pearl Bar & Dining, located within the Melbourne Theatre Company in Southbank, is hiring a Casual Chef (Level 3). The kitchen delivers an Asian-inspired seasonal menu in a fast-paced setting and supports a wide range of functions and events at the MTC.

Shifts run Wednesday to Saturday evenings. You will join a dynamic team delivering quality, presentation and growth opportunities within a premium hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or events environment.
• Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• A passion for cooking, adaptability, and an eagerness to learn new skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the team to ensure efficient food production and quality control.
• Ensure the highest standards of presentation and quality.
• Prepare dishes for a wide variety of functions and events held at the MTC.
