Job summary

Fuse Recruitment is partnering with a national logistics and freight business to appoint an experienced Operations Supervisor for the afternoon/evening freight operation in St Marys, NSW. The role oversees a team of ~25 staff, ensuring efficient freight flow, on-time loading and departures, and a safe, productive depot environment.

You will work closely with the PM Operations Manager and Team Leader to maintain high standards and deliver continuous improvement, with a clear pathway toward

Qualifications

• The most important thing is genuine freight experience.
• Experience leading or supervising in transport/freight environments.
• Experience managing PM shift operations and coordinating yard movements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the afternoon/evening operations team with clear direction.
• Oversee freight flow through the depot to meet departures on time.
• Coordinate people and equipment movements to keep freight moving efficiently.
• Ensure trailers are loaded correctly and departures stay on schedule.
• Collaborate with linehaul and other stakeholders to manage freight movements.
• Monitor workload and allocate labour as volumes change.
• Record operational reporting across systems and maintain payroll data.
• Support safety reporting and enforce required procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement to boost depot performance.
