Job summary

Cater Care is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our kitchen team in Mornington, Victoria. In this hands-on role, you'll prepare fresh meals and cold larder items, assist with meal service, and help maintain high food safety standards in a busy kitchen.

You'll work Monday and Thursday to Sunday, 4:00–8:00 pm, with a pay rate of $27.08 per hour plus Super. This permanent part-time position offers ongoing training, uniform provided, and staff discounts across 650+ stores.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen assistant roles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must maintain high standards of personal presentation and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food preparation and meal service (salads and sandwiches).
• Support catering for functions, meetings, and events.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, dining, and prep areas; assist with dishwashing.
