Job summary

NRMA Energy is seeking an Energy Solutions Engineer to join the engineering lifecycle of EV charging and distributed energy projects. Based in Sydney or Brisbane, this permanent full-time role offers strong flexibility to work from home with planned travel to project sites across Australia.

Qualifications

• Recognised bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering discipline.
• Experience contributing to design or delivery of grid-connected electrical infrastructure.
• Experience preparing electrical designs, calculations, drawings and docs.
• Knowledge of Australian electrical installation requirements and applicable standards.
• Strong communication skills with both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site feasibility inspections for power options and EV charging layouts.
• Develop site feasibility proposals with concept layouts and cost estimates.
• Complete desktop evaluations and coordinate field inspections.
• Prepare DNSP enquiries and coordinate connection processes.
• Develop electrical designs, drawings, calculations and technical documents.
• Review designs and provide clear technical input and recommendations.
• Prepare concepts and technical scopes for RFQs with delivery teams.
• Collaborate with partners to deliver, test and commission EV charging assets.
• Develop standards, CAD templates and reusable design assets.
• Apply inclusive and accessible design principles to EV infrastructure.
