Job summary

On The Go Autocare in Melbourne is seeking a capable mechanic to perform logbook servicing and repairs across European makes, including brakes, suspension, steering and driveline work.

The role requires a Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and 1–2 years' experience, with strong customer care and reliable work habits. Light diagnostics and scan tools are a bonus, with ongoing training available.

Qualifications

• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent) is required.
• 1–2 years' experience as a qualified mechanic.
• A clean, careful approach to customers' cars and the workshop.
• Diagnostic experience and confidence with scan tools (bonus).
• VicRoads Licensed Vehicle Tester (LVT) and ARCtick refrigerant licence (bonus) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Logbook and general servicing across all makes, with a focus on European vehicles
• Brakes, suspension, steering and drivetrain repairs
• Roadworthy (RWC) inspections and repairs
• Fleet vehicle servicing and maintenance
• Accurate job notes and time recording in Mechanic Desk
• Collaborate with head mechanics and senior techs to keep jobs moving and maintain quality
