Job summary

Built Recruitment has partnered with a well-established construction company in Rockhampton to recruit an Estimator/Supervisor. The role combines assessing property damage, estimating repair costs, and supervising trades to ensure timely restorations.

You will oversee building insurance assessments, coordinate trades, liaise with insurers, ensure OH&S compliance, and manage multiple projects. QBCC Supervisors License is mandatory; 3 years supervising; driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' supervising experience.
• Insurance building experience desirable.
• Trade qualifications in building (carpentry preferred) or related field.
• QBCC Supervisors License or equivalent mandatory.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Solid computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of OH&S legislation and industry regulations.
• Familiarity with current market rates and trade practices.
• Ability to provide accurate estimates independently.
• Current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct building insurance assessments and prepare detailed reports.
• Supervise building reinstatement works.
• Engage, coordinate, and manage trades throughout restoration.
• Monitor job progress and resolve issues as they arise.
• Liaise with insurance companies and insured parties.
• Organise property access with insured clients.
• Manage disputes and deliver timely resolutions.
• Ensure all works comply with OH&S requirements and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate inspections and sign-offs from building surveyors.
