Job summary

Ampcontrol is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join the Power team based at Tomago. You will develop cost estimates and tender submissions across diverse projects, collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.

The role offers exposure to pre-engineering activities, tender planning, and growth in commercial and estimating capabilities within a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade background or electrical engineering qualification.
• Experience with HV/LV electrical systems, plant or equipment.
• Experience or exposure to electrical estimating, budgets or tender prep.
• Understanding of electrical equipment in industrial/mining environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

You will ideally have:

• An electrical trade background or an electrical engineering qualification.
• Hands-on experience with HV/LV electrical systems, plant or equipment.
• Experience or exposure to electrical estimating, cost budgets, quotations or tender preparation.
• An understanding of electrical equipment and project requirements within industrial, mining or similar environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
