Job summary

ELESERVE is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our Minchinbury office. This permanent, full-time role focuses on taking ownership of estimating and tendering for ASP Level 1-3 electrical infrastructure works, from tender review to handover.

You will work with our team to secure profitable projects, review documentation, perform take-offs, price labour and subcontractors, and liaise with clients and suppliers. Strong Excel skills and experience with estimating software are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive estimating experience for ASP Level 1/2/3 electrical infrastructure works.
• Ability to independently price and submit electrical tenders.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution networks and costs.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender docs.

• Strong commercial awareness and profitability focus.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Electrical Estimator to join our team at our Minchinbury office.

This is a key role within the business, suited to a confident, commercially minded estimator with proven experience in ASP electrical infrastructure works.

You will take ownership of the estimating and tendering process, from initial tender review and cost preparation through to final submission and successful project handover.

Working closely with our team, you will play an important role in securing profitable projects and contributing to the continued growth of ELESERVE.

We are looking for someone who is hands on, proactive and capable of managing the estimating process independently with minimal supervision.

This is a permanent, full time, office based position, with site inspections as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed and competitive estimates and tenders for ASP and electrical infrastructure projects.
• Review and interpret tender documentation, electrical drawings, specifications and scopes of work.
• Undertake detailed material take offs and calculate labour, plant, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain, review and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Conduct site inspections to assess project requirements and identify potential challenges.
• Identify tender risks, exclusions, opportunities and cost saving measures.
• Prepare and submit tenders within required deadlines.
• Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
• Liaise directly with clients, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Prepare tender clarifications, qualifications and supporting documentation.
• Assist with tender negotiations and post tender submissions.
• Maintain accurate estimating records, pricing information and tender documentation.
• Provide comprehensive handovers to project managers and operations teams following successful tender awards.
• Assist with pricing variations and additional works as required.

About You

• Extensive estimating experience in ASP Level 1, Level 2 and/or Level 3 electrical infrastructure works.
• Proven ability to independently prepare, price and submit electrical infrastructure tenders.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution networks, construction methodologies and associated costs.
• Ability to confidently interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Sound knowledge of labour, materials, plant, equipment and subcontractor pricing.
• Strong commercial awareness, including identifying project risks and maintaining profitability.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing tender deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment.

Highly Regarded

• Electrical trade qualifications or electrical engineering background.
• Experience working on Essential Energy, Endeavour Energy and Ausgrid network projects.
• Experience with design and construct electrical infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of associated civil and telecommunications infrastructure works.
