Job summary

Synchronous Group is seeking an experienced Estimator to own the ME‑E and BMS estimating function across ACT and NSW. The role involves taking tender briefs, performing take-offs, and producing accurate, commercially sound estimates for both mechanical‑electrical and BMS projects.

You'll collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Finance to ensure estimates are practical and deliverable, while building templates and processes for future growth.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating mechanical‑electrical, electrical services or BMS projects.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Strong take-off, pricing and budgeting skills.
• Proficient with estimating software and ERP tools.
• Australian working rights and a current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, specs and tender documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs across ME‑E and BMS scopes.
• Prepare detailed estimates with labour, materials and subcontractor pricing.
• Build estimate summaries with assumptions and clarifications.
• Support tender submissions and client inquiries.
• Attend site visits and meetings as required.
• Develop estimating templates and rate books.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Finance.
