Job summary

Nexa Trades Group NSW Pty Ltd in Jindabyne is seeking an Estimator to own pricing across mechanical, electrical, fire and HVAC+R services. You’ll read drawings, attend site inspections, and price labour, materials, plant and subcontractors to company margins.

The role includes handovers with leaders and project managers, with relocation support for the right candidate. The position offers ongoing training, company vehicle access, a flexible, career-focused environment and a path for progression

Qualifications

• Estimating experience in HVAC&R, electrical, fire and the appetite to take on all three
• A trade background, or technical depth that stands in for one
• Enough judgement to scope a job on site on your own
• Knowledge of drawings, specifications and the standards that apply to your trade
• Competent with simPRO or similar, and Excel
• Right to work in Australia
• Advantageous: Qualification in CAD Drawings for final markups
• Multi Trade Qualification

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings
• Attend site inspections and walkthroughs
• Price labour, materials, plant, and subbies to company margin needs
• Quote across mechanical, electrical, HVAC+R and fire
• Provide successful handover sessions with team leaders, project managers and Leading Hands
• Oversee and hold accountable Leading Hands fulfilling smaller site quotes
• Measure and scope jobs on site directly
• Tender and fulfil inbound quotation requests
• Monthly reporting on results and performance
