Job summary

seek.com.au partners with a Queensland building company seeking an experienced Building Estimator/ Assessor to meet on-site with customers and create detailed scopes of work for domestic construction projects.

You will work closely with a supervisor to ensure pricing is fair and that scopes can be executed if approved. The role requires estimating, renovation scoping, and a solid understanding of residential construction standards across Australia.

Qualifications

• Estimating/quoting experience with a trade/tertiary qualification.
• Enthusiasm and proven success in meeting deadlines and targets.
• Ability to scope and estimate renovation works.
• Strong understanding of complex residential construction and Australian standards and codes.
• Be self-motivated, have a keen eye for detail and be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Meet on-site with customers to discuss projects and create detailed scopes of work.
• Work with supervisor to ensure pricing is fair and executable if approved.
• Prepare estimates and quotes for domestic construction projects.
• Assist in scoping renovations and ensuring compliance with Australian standards.

Job description

We're a Queensland building company seeking an experienced and motivated Building Estimator/ Assessor to meet on-site with Customers and create detailed scopes of work relating to domestic construction projects.

You will work closely with an experienced supervisor to ensure that your suggested pricing is fair and reasonable and that your scopes can be successfully executed should we be approved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimating/quotingexperience with a trade/tertiary qualification.

2. Demonstrated enthusiasm and proven success in meeting deadlines and targets.

3. Ability to scope and estimate renovation works.

4. Demonstrate a strong understanding of complex residential construction and Australian standards and codes.

5. Be self-motivated, have a keen eye for detail and be computer literate.

We will provide training in our processes and on the industry specific IT programs utilised.

Builder low rise license, carpentry, plumbing or supervisor license preferred, but not essential.

An attractive employment package including company vehicle or allowance will be negotiated with the successful candidate, based on experience and knowledge.
