Job summary

Simplex Co. Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Estimator to own tender submissions and support growth across external cladding, remediation, partitions and internal fit-out works.

You will review drawings, prepare take-offs, obtain quotes and develop pricing strategies with the Estimating Manager, delivering timely tender submissions to clients and stakeholders. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tenders, and strong communication with clients,

Qualifications

• Proven estimating experience in construction
• Ability to manage estimates independently from initial review through tender submission
• Full working rights in Australia

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, take ownership of tender submissions and support our continued growth.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to assess project scope.
• Complete quantity take-offs and identify project risks, exclusions and opportunities.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to clarify requirements.
• Work with our Estimating Manager to develop pricing strategies and meet tender deadlines.

About you

• Proven estimating experience in construction, preferably across cladding, remediation or internal fit-out works.
• Ability to manage estimates independently from initial review through to tender submission.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam or similar estimating and take-off software.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines.
• Strong English communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• A proactive approach, a willingness to learn and a positive, can-do attitude.
