Job summary

Bluestonerecruitment is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our pre-construction team in Melbourne. You will prepare detailed cost plans, manage subcontractor pricing and contribute to tender analyses across multiple stages.

With strong communication and stakeholder management, you will identify cost risks and advise on value engineering to support competitive tenders and project success.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years estimating experience within commercial construction.
• Exposure to commercial new build and/or fit-out projects.
• Strong understanding of subcontractor pricing, tender analysis and trade scopes.
• Ability to prepare detailed estimates and cost plans.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

Responsibilities

You will work as part of the estimating and pre-construction team, with responsibilities including:

• Preparing detailed cost plans and estimates across concept, design development and tender stages
• Managing subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Preparing trade comparisons, scope reviews and tender analysis
• Reviewing project documentation to identify cost risks and opportunities
• Providing value engineering and cost advice to support competitive tenders
• Working closely with pre-construction, design and delivery teams
• Identifying buildability issues and procurement opportunities throughout the tender process

Experience Required

• At least 3 years estimating experience within commercial construction
• Exposure to commercial new build and/or fit-out projects
• Strong understanding of subcontractor pricing, tender analysis and trade scopes
• Ability to prepare detailed estimates and cost plans
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A desire to develop into a Senior Estimator position
